No, of course not. This is an electric mixer. It is for stirring up cake batters, bread doughs, and similar. It is not meant for opening cans.

yes it does but my beater broke the first time I used it and I was only making cookies. I wouldn't suggest making breads with it

The slowest speed is rather fast. I would prefer it started slower, but I do think it is an excellent mixer. Very powerful.

No. Even the lowest speed is *really* fast. It flings flour all over. It's so strong that I can mix meatloaf on the lowest setting. I can't imagine what I would use the highest speed for!

For the price, I could not be more thrilled. The motor doesn't have any problems whipping through thick cookie dough. My only complaint is there needs to be a slower speed and it doesn't do great as stand mixer, but it is so awesome it's not enough to take stars away.

I stumbled on this in my local Walmart store and thought the price was a joke. I got it home and whipped up chocolate chip cookie dough, dinner roll bread dough, and sugar cookie mix all in the same night! The mixer is more powerful on low than my other 16 speed mixer. It works great for the price. I am by no means a 'professional' baker and I would warn don't expect it to do what a $300 mixer does but.... for the price it is pretty awesome!

Can't beat the price

Yes, you have to rotate the bowl by hand.. Yes, you have to scrape the sides, but for this price.. it doesn't get much better. I love mine & I use it about 3x a week.. Makes perfect cookies. Just used it to make mashed potatoes for the first time and they were perfect. I'd definitely recommend.

LOVE IT!

Surprisingly powerful

I stumbled across this at Black Friday. Couldn't believe the price of $15. Yeah, you have to manually turn the bowl, but it works very well. Can't beat the price. Plus, it was red to match my kitchen.

I bought this mixer for the price at the Black Friday sale in 2013. When I went to use the mixer, I realized that it doesn't really mix very well as a stand mixer. I use it as a hand-held one, and that works better. The mixer isn't really strong as far as mixing dough - the dough hooks were a bit weak. The main problem I have is with ejecting the beaters. You have to turn the mixer button all the way to high. The first time I used it, I forgot the unplug it, pushed the button to high, and watched the beaters spring into fast action - I almost lost several fingers. Be careful when ejecting the beaters and make sure you've unplugged it first! It is OK, for what I paid for it, but I wish the beater ejection was a bit safer!

I guess you get what you pay for

I really like the it detaches and you can just use the hand mixer. The only thing I do not like is that the bowl doesn't rotate. It only mixes in one spot.

Nice mixer

I knew this mixer had to be too good too be true. First it doesn't mix well.. which is kind of the reason you get a mixer. Second, you have to turn the bowl a bunch of times and it still doesn't get it all. THRID, the mixers themselves started to rust already! I bought this mixer on black frida (11/29/2013) and today is 12/13/2013. I did not run them thru the dishwasher but handwashed them.

I will be returning this!

Don't bother

I bought it the day after Thanksgiving sale. I opened it today and tried to use it today to make cookies, I added the sugar, one egg and thought to myself " OK, this isn't too bad for $15.00" then I added one cup of flour and started mixing and the one beater stopped working. It broke before I could even make one batch of cookies. I pulled out my old faithful hand mixer and finished.

Knew it was too good to be true

I was very disappointed in this mixer. The beaters did not mix the cake mix completely but I didn't discover this until I was pouring the batter in the pans and found completely unmixed batter at the bottom. You have to stand with the mixer and turn the bowl yourself and it still doesn't mix completely. I will be returning this to WalMart.
