No. Wii U games are not compatible on the original Wii Console, they are not &quot;Forward Compatible&quot; as opposed to &quot;Backward Compatible&quot; where you can play games for the Original Wii on the Wii U.

Even if you could play the Wii U Games on the Original Wii, it would be like watching a blu ray movie on a 15&quot; black and white TV, it defeats the purpose for their existence.

My son received this as a gift however since we had a Wii, this game is not compatible and will not be able to read the disc.  Only work with Wii U.

I bought my granddaughter the original Disney Infinity last year for Christmas. She has enjoyed it so much that my daughter requested that I gift the Infinity 3 when they purchased the WiiU. The whole family has fun with it.
