Die Hard in London. Great Action Flick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first movie was really good. I think this one is even better - which is typically hard to accomplish with sequels. I don't know why this movie kept me on the edge of my seat so successfully but I was 100% punching the air and glued to my screen. Great mix of action, suspense, touch of mystery and a s*** load of tactics if that interest you. This movie also is even heavier than the first on patriotism - really dealing with some philosophical conundrums while tickling the badass in every American. *** Side Note: I have no clue where all these bad reviews are coming from. Yes, it is the nature of this type of movie (where there is a single hero) to be bit far fetch - but in gorilla warfare the fewer the better actually. With everyone mentioning the lack of military presence... you obviously didn't pay close attention - everything in this movie happen in like 4 hours-ish. I think the special effects were pretty authentic.. MOST of what you see in blockbusters overly theatrical (explosions are packed twice to three times what they would actually be otherwise people say its bad effects). Seeing several presidential/prime minister convoys myself... I think they did a good job at creating the "worst possible scenario" and the thing is that you would need the "worst possible scenario" to take down a convoy and not have this film be about 30 minutes long before fail-safes kick in. A lot of the joking is a coping mechanism and more realistic than one might think. Finally, this movie actually has, in my opinion a duality: its both tickling the balls of American patriotism WHILE telling us we are not indestructible or innocent.I think they did a good job and its worth the watch for sure.

Gerald Butler is a BEAST!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you liked Olympus Has Fallen, you'll definitely like London Has Fallen! Get ready for more non-stop slam-bang action in a real Star Bangled Banner action film, even if it is in London this time. Plenty of rockets red glare and bombs bursting in air. This time our president has to go to London to attend a funeral along with many of the world's leaders. after the unexpected death of the British Prime Minister. Things go badly wrong, but fortunately, the president has brought along his favorite Secret Service agent Gerald Butler. I doubt the president will ever leave the White House again without him after these last 2 films. But, Butler is there to save the day again, initially with help from the security detail and later from the British Special Air Services commandos and even the president steps up at one point. This time it's a Pakistani Muslim arms dealer and his three sons and friends with a serious axe to grind against the West. Once again, there is an insider traitor, lots of bad guys dressed up as good guys and very determined gun men coming at you from every direction. I'd say it's all a bit more plausible than the last time around, but that's not really the point of these things. It's just non-stop action. These guys need killing and they're dropping in large numbers as far as the eye can see. I can see another sequel just over the horizon, and I'll definitely go see that one too.

Excellent sequal to "Olympus Has Fallen"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent continuation of the "Olympus Has Fallen" story arc. Agent Banning is the NEW Superhero Secret Agent! Agent Banning (Former U.S. Army Ranger) does what he does: saves the President and the world, without any super-human powers, using his skills, intellect and determination to win a battle against a force that is embedded,. Presidential Protection Detail Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is in London with The President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) for the State Funeral of the British Prime Minister when he discovers a plot to assassinate all the world leaders in attendance. With Morgan Freeman continuing his characterization of Vice President Trumbull (Speaker of the House Trumbull in "Olympus Has Fallen") is, as always, done in Mr. Freeman's style, to perfection. The continuity of the characters, not only from a casting standpoint, the characterizations as well, maintain the viability of the movie as a single story with two distinct, yet fully connected, story arcs against national leaders, specifically the United States and her allies, both about terrorism potentials. Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart make this movie fun to watch with not only amazing performances, the believably realness of their characters is superb. And they should be with these gentleman actors.

Fantastic movie, a blast to watch. Great sound.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.London Has Fallen was a fantastic movie that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It provided a unique, compelling, and shocking portrayal of modern scenarios. It was an incredible movie, with a great mix of action, suspense, and politics. It was a roller coaster ride, and I really felt as if I were watching a real scenario play out. It was extremely well done, and a blast to watch. The sound of the movie was also incredible. DTS-X sound just made the experience even more realistic and intimate, and the sounds were crisp, clear, and shocking. The voices were easily understandable and the sound overall added to the general atmosphere of the movie. Whether you're a fan of sound, action, politics, or drama, this movie is a great fit. I would watch it again in a heartbeat.
