Black Friday Special
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a dash cam but it wasn't on the top of my list but I was in Best Buy on Black Friday and they had these on hand and on sale for $29.00 so I bought it. It had a brand name that I had heard of, it's 1080p HD, records at 1920x1080 or 1280x720, it includes a 8GB memory card but will support up to 32GB. It is small! Anyway, it was a small investment to try out this dash cam, to early to give it a reliable review but early going seems like it was a good buy and would recommend it so far.

For short trip only
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 of those on BF. i drive to work 1 hour one way, and my car has constant 12v, mining even while im not driving my camera is on. So first one died in 2 weeks and second one last me another week. Both returned. I think if you going to use it 15 min every day it will last you for 2week/15min=22.4 days :)

Tiny camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera finally came after two week delay and was shocked when I opened it! It was a teeny tiny camera! It was bout half the size I thought I was getting! Seems to work fine for now, but will definitely be upgrading to an adult size.

Acceptable device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this on the recommendation from salesperson. It works well and records a good picture. If you want to keep the power chord out of your view and run on the battery, make sure your trip is less than 30 minutes, very short battery time. The salesperson told me that hers runs for a week on an 8 gb memory card, I bought a 32gb card. I drive for a living and spend about 6 hrs a night on the road, 32gb will not last for this time it will overwrite at about 5hrs. at a record rate of 720, if you up the rate to its best quality picture you will get about 3 hrs on a 32gb card before it starts to overwrites

Will do the Job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of the video is good (not great) and will serve the purpose of documentation in case of an accident. I have a Garmin Dash Camera in my other vehicle and the quality is much better, but I also paid over twice for the Garmin. The Garmin is also a much larger camera. This camera is smaller than expected which is a good feature. You won't hardly notice on the windshield. There is plenty of length on the power cord to run the wire behind your dash. The camera also comes with a 8gb micro sd card. I'll probably upgrade to a larger micro sd. I've read other reviews that say this camera does not record on a loop. Not True. The camera does record on a loop. If you are looking for a camera to document in case of accident then this is the perfect camera. If you are looking for a camera to record high quality video to put on youtube, then spend the money and buy something with better capabilities. For my purpose, this camera is perfect. I also bought a three year Geek Squad protection plan so I'm not worried about the heat from sitting in the car or the camera breaking.

Great camera, basic recording.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good camera, it records about 3 minutes on eachs video and then starts a new one, To keep all the road recorded. This is my second dash cam of Uniden because firts one broke down at the second week of use, it suddenly froze the image and stopped working so I went to Bestbuy to ask for a replacement. The camera makes what the specifications says, it records HD videos but the recording system is very basic and annoying because of the 3minutes of each video I said. I recommend this for the price but it could be better.

Q: QuestionHow long does the 8 GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB SD card allow the video to capture before looping?
Asked by wkags.
- A:Answer I had the 8 GB and I think it only allowed for about 2 hours. I changed to a 32 GB and expect much more out of it. I suggest the 32 GB if you take long trips. The 8 GB is fine for in town such as going to work. And don't forget, if anything happens you can just push one button and that will be saved.

Q: QuestionI have Uniden DC1...The screen goes dark in record mode, but I assume it is still recording. Does auto shutoff control the screen going blank? I would like the screen to stay on while driving. It is not a distraction for me if the screen stays on.
Asked by Silk.
- A:Answer With power on and not recording, hit Menu twice (left middle button) to get the Setup menu. Use arrow keys to go down to Screensaver, OK to confirm, arrows to select Off (aka Disabled), OK to confirm. Menu again to exit. Screen should now be on all the time. PS: Owner's Manual, page 17. :)

Q: QuestionDoes the camera automatically start recording when you start the car engine?
Asked by dhgasman.
- A:Answer Yes, if you have it plugged it. My lighters are on 24/7, so I have to plug it in.unplug it every time. If your cigarette lighter has no power to it when the key is off, then it will turn off automatically.

Q: QuestionMy stop recording when my 32gb card is full. There is a blue screen pops out "Cardfull". It should be looping overwrite but it is not. Just recently happened. Anyway to fix it? or should I just manual delete every week? Thanks
Asked by Kelvin.
- A:Answer If you read the manual it'll guide you to access an option for "loop recording". If this option is turned off, your dashcam will stop recording once the storage is full and you will need to manually delete. The loop recording option records in 3 minutes and re-records over the oldest file once storage is full. There's also something called a Gsensor option that will lock any files when impact is detected. Hope it helps!
