Our Roomba is Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit skeptical at first, this wasn't the unit I had set my sights on but we (Yes - we! My wife and I) have been quiet impressed! We recently had 1100 sq. ft. Of flooring installed and was a little concerned about "dust accumulation" as some of our friends suggested, this was a concern because of my wife's back injuries; however, I can honestly say "after running our Roomba 980 Robot Vacuum twice weekly this hasn't been an issue" the vacuum keeps our floors as stunning as the first day they were installed! As its been said, "Happy Wife, Happy Life"!!!! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, we've had our Roomba 980 for 2 months and have enjoyed the ease of use, cleanness of our floors, and there is also less dust on the furniture - my wife says "she loves her Jenny (the name we selected for our Roomba) because like Forest Gump, she just keeps on running"!!!!

Amazing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's Amazing! I have to say I was skeptical at first but it works like a pro! My carpets haven't looked so nice in a long time. The carpets have "tracks" in them. It's gone into every room in my apartment, even my kitchen and my bathroom and picked up every piece of dirt. I cannot say enough how thrilled I am of this robotic vacuum. The app is easy, with a push of a button your robot will start cleaning, push notifications for errors, like if its stuck, full bin, etc. You can also put it on a schedule. I like knowing I can push a button at work and my house is getting vacuumed. It feels so nice and since I've bought it I have used it to help motivate me more to clean my apartment. Now my apartment is neat and orderly and it hasn't been for a long time.

Best investment of 2016.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a one-bedroom apartment, and the living room and bedroom are all carpets, kitchen and bathroom are tile floor. So, i read a lot of reviews on youtube, and BestBuy's website before making a decision on purchasing my Roomba 980. Let me tell you I LOVE IT! it is the best purchase I have made in 2016, the irobot works phenomenally. it's extremely easy to use, looks very sleek, not loud, and the suction on this vacuum is awesome! I've owned it now for two months and maintenance on the Roomba 980 is simple, and with the ios app, it gives you step-by-step instructions if you encounter any problems, even short video clips on how to do it. My apartment is clean all the time now, with only a press of a button and let the iRoomba do the rest. One recommendation is if you have cables and shoes I would put them away that way your Roomba can clean with ease. It will go around the legs if chairs and clean the edges perfectly, but common sense, less clutter you have the better your roomba will have access to cleaning. The only thing that was keeping me from buying it was the price tag, but now that I own one its money well spend, you will not regret buying the irobot iRoomaba 980 it's an investment well made to keeping your place clean hands free :).

Roomba 980 is definitely worth this price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent product considering we wanted to purchase a robot vacuum for carpet cleaning. So convenient to operate and takes care of floor really well. Sensors function adequately and cleaner can easily differentiate between surface levels. Our roomba accidently moved to patio from where it was about to fall but sensors made sure that it stops right there (sharing the pic in this review). The only drawback that i felt was that cleaning of clear bin is not very convenient.

We have a Maine coon cat and before the roomba there were fur in any single corner! Now with my robot I totally forget about it! Cleans smoothly my complete apt in aprox 120min, including underneath the bed and furniture!! I love it!!

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So easy to use. Push a button on my phone and it starts up. Very thorough. Does not miss any areas. Will go over all areas twice if programmed. Puts itself away. So convenient.

Love the app and auto schedule
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the new app and the ability to create a daily schedule to clean my floors. I also appreciate the extended range and longer battery life. I have a large house and my new roomba can clean the entire first level of my house! That's a around 800 sq ft in a little over 3 hours. It does have to return to the docking station and recharge in the middle, but it is all automatic. I can be at work and look at the report, including a map of the area cleaned, from the app on my phone.

It worked right out of the box!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 980 has vacuumed 3,000 sq. ft. and performed very well. I ran it over wood and carpet floors that I hand vac’d two days earlier and was blown away by the how much dust and carpet fibers it picked up. Best of all it gets under much of the furniture and beds which are usually missed by hand vacuuming. It’s a winner if it keeps running long term.

Q: QuestionDoes this irobot work with VAC 220? or it is only compatible with a 120 Volt AC? Thanks
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer The charging base label says it's rated for input 100-240V at 50/60Hz. The power cable supplied is a standard North American polarized 2-blade plug.

Q: QuestionWill it work on deep shag carpet? My Dyson 360 would NOT it would get stuck immediately.
Asked by JackieO.
- A:Answer I have three red long shag area rugs and the Roomba does a great job on them. It might have to look for the best place to get up on the area rugs, but I leave it alone and it finds away. I was worried that I would have to get rid of my rugs.

Q: QuestionI don't understand the difference in the Vacum I Roomba Robots. I read what the ad says and they all sound the same? Roomba 650 ? Roomba 980 ? What's the difference between the 2 Robots? Whys 980 so much more money?
Asked by GUSS.
- A:Answer The 980 is multiroom. So it will go into every room on the floor. Battery life is longer too. He 980 has carpet boost. So you will hear the auction increase when it senses carpet. If you have a main floor with multiple rooms, get the roomba that has entire floor/multiroom cleaning.

Q: QuestionSomeone in this forum said all electrical cords must be picked up before activating robotic vac. So I need to unplug all my corded lamps and tie up cords? Really? It sort of robs any sense of automation. What am I misunderstanding/missing?
Asked by Bill.
- A:Answer Well, sort of... If cords are ran adjacent to the walls, they will most likely not be an issue. The 980 includes 2 virtual walls, and we are using one of them to block the area past our entertainment center to avoid having to tidy up cords in that area. We do try to keep most other cords off the ground (e.g. when one of us is using a laptop on the couch and it is plugged in while the Roomba is going). After a few days/week of using the Roomba, you should have resolved any issues or obstacles that may be. We find that the Roomba has forced us to be more organized with cords and even laundry (socks on the floor can cause a Roomba wheel to get stuck). It sounds high maintenance, but in reality, 95% of the time the Roomba will negotiate most obstacles around the house. The Roomba doesn't just bump around aimlessly... It uses various sensors (including a camera above it) to make decisions on how to tackle areas. It's really impressive to watch and, at times, it even seems like it's thinking (it will look around a few times and then choose a path...really amusing). We have found that the amount of time we have regained from not having to manually vacuum as often is worth the small effort of clearing the floors up. Think of it as whenever your (or someone else's) toddler is about to enter a room and you make a conscious effort to remove any "not-kid-friendly" objects. This is the sort of exercise you'll go through for the first few days to a week.

Q: QuestionCan you use one Roomba for upstairs and downstairs, moving the dock? I would think the mapping would be confused. But if it is possible, is it still programmable?
Asked by edriejk.
- A:Answer Yes, we move ours upstairs and down. It does map your home to clean efficiently, so when you move it takes a little time to re-learn, but not a noticeable difference, so we just move the docking station to whichever floor we want to use it on.
