You would need to purchase a VGA to HDMI adapter. All new laptops and most desktops now come with HDMI which is a direct connect.

Vizio TVs no longer have the STANDARD VGA connector used by many computers, including some new computers, equipment, set top boxes, &amp; video cards. Also many computers &amp; video cards that support dual display, do so by sending the second display signal through a VGA or other output rather than HDMI. So even if your computer does have a modern HDMI connector for it&#39;s primary signal, it usually outputs the second display through a VGA, DVI, or other connector. 

I used to be a big fans of Vizio TVs, but the primary reason I avoid them now is they&#39;re one of the few TVs on the market that no longer have STANDARD VGA connectors. Refusing to support 90% of the computers &amp; video equipment still being used in the world with a simple VGA jack is a deal breaker.

When they came out with 33rpm records, they could still play 78 &amp; 45rpm records. When they came out with CDs, you could still plug in a turntable or tape deck into your stereo. When they came out with DVDs, you could still plug a VCR into your TV. When they came out with blu-ray, you could still play DVDs.

It would have cost almost nothing extra to keep VGA support in their TVs. If they have component jacks, the technology for VGA is already inside. I&#39;d gladly pay the 49 cents extra to include a VGA jack.

To support my gadgets because they&#39;re 2 or more years old, or support my need a dual display computer to save on a 49 cent jack is crazy. There are many 2 or more year old devices in use, than brand new ones. If they&#39;re still perfectly good, don&#39;t tell me I have to replace all my stuff every 2 years. That&#39;s economically, &amp; ecologically unsustainable.

I&#39;ll refuse to allow any company who&#39;s primary goal is to maximize profits decide when I should throw out my gadgets &amp; buy new ones.

That&#39;s like my phone company telling me my expensive 2 year old phone is now obsolete. No, it&#39;s NOT! They just want you to buy a new phone from them, commit to another contract, &amp; sign up for more features that you don&#39;t need, that cost you a lot more than they make you think. To force my phone or gadget to be obsolete in 2 years, means I&#39;ll take my business to another company.

Yes, I have ours on a wall mount that can be swung out if needed.  Just make sure the wall mount can handle the size and weight of the TV.

The legs are 29 to 33 inches apart. My stand is only 32 inches wide by putting the legs on backwards the TV fit my stand. Works just fine glad it works by putting the legs on backwards.
