Punchy and not overwhelming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this sub paired with Deftech Demand D7 bookshelf speakers and the NEW Sonos amp. Sounds incredible. Tight, punchy bass and you don’t even know the sub is there - she is just doing her job in a very musical way. It’s great that you can make it downfiring or frontfiring. Great that it comes with wireless ability. We’re currently running a wire and the only obnoxious thing is the blinking blue light on the back, stating it’s ready to pair. A piece of electrical tape fixes that right up.

So good I bought a second one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned many entry level and mid tier subwoofers, but the one that I never forgot was the original Martin Logan Dynamo. It was the quickest, tightest, compact sub I’ve ever owned. When I bought a super cube to go with my pro monitors, it sounded good but wasn’t quite what I was looking for. I decided to return and get the Martin Logan based on previous experience with the other one. When I hooked it up and started listing m, it took me back to the other dynamo, just more refined and wireless option. I have yet to hear a subwoofer in the price bracket that is as quick, start/stop, precise and fit and finish so well. The only complaint would be the blue light that flashes if you don’t use the wireless transmitter. Setup with this sub is key to the performance it can deliver. If you get the crossover dialed in right and volume set to blend properly, it’s a treat, you forget the subwoofers in the room and the amount of depth and precision it reveals is just plain awesome for less than a $1,000. I highly recommend.

More than pleased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't say enough about this sub. I have always been a little leery about spending a lot of money on one speaker. Let me tell you, this one is worth it. In the store it sounded every bit as good as the $1800 subwoofers, and when I got it home, I was pleased that it sounded just as good. Crisp, clear low frequency sound fills the whole room. You can't even tell where the sub is located because the sound seems to come from everywhere. This is awesome because the wireless feature is flawless, and allows me to put the driver anywhere I want. After the sales guy demonstrated the speaker for me, I told him to turn it off, shut up, and take my money. I haven't regretted my decision for one second.

Small footprint, BIG sound, good value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 10 year old Klipsch died and went to SW heaven. Looked at a number of possible replacements including Klipsch. Settled on the ML after listening to a number of SW options in the Magnolia section of the BB store. Easy setup and then experimentation with settings to see how it would perform-TV, streaming, DVD and music. I adjusted some of the settings and found an optimum listening level for my media sound outputs. In standard mode SW delivers sound downward (works perfectly for me). Output direction can be changed easily by removing the unit's base brackets and installing the fabric grill. The design is compact and very attractive. My best surprise was that the ML SW performed beautifully when using all forms of media. The sound is PURE Bass. It does not vibrate the floor or walls like my Klipsch. Only issue-very disturbing blinking blue light that is only useful if you are using the SW in wireless mode. I had to cover the the light in order to get rid of the distraction

Awesome Subwoofer for Home Theater
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sub woofer works great in our home theater setup. Is was super easy to setup and worked right out of the box. The sub also looks great with the sleek black finish. The wireless works great and was a need for my family as I forgot to run a subwoofer cable when we were putting up the walls in the home theater. Thanks to best buy and Martin Logan I was still able to accomplish my 7.1 surround sound with out the directly ran cable. Some reviews have talked about a popping noise coming from the subwoofer this has happened twice since I have been using it for the last month. Only reason I noticed it was from reading other reviews else I probably would not even have know. Martin Logan makes great products, you will not be disappointed.

Martin Logan Sub Woofer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a big sub woofer fan at all. When we were putting together our home theater sound package I expressed this to the consultant we were working with. We listened to a couple of choices and decided on this model. This sub has all the power anyone would want. It has the ability to adjust the output up or down to the individuals preference. We do not like to FEEL the bass pounding. Therefore, we like how we can turn the level down to what sounds good to us. Again, if you want to be blown away, you absolutely can do that with this sub. You can also adjust it to any level that sounds good to your personalized taste.

Q: QuestionWill this subwoofer work with the sonos playbar?
Asked by DustinP.
- A:Answer Not sure as I have it hooked up to 5 Martin Logan speakers for my home theater downstairs. I have a sonos subwoofer and four sonos speakers plus a sonos playbar upstairs in the great room and they sound terrific.

Q: QuestionHow do you attach grill. I don't see a way to do it
Asked by Pops.
- A:Answer There are four rubber protrusions on the grill that fit into the four rubber holes located in the front face of the subwoofer. Line them up exactly and push in... it's a tight fit.

Q: QuestionWhat type of cable do I need to connect this to a receiver that has two subwoofer out ports? They are not red/white rca's like on the woofer. They are black.
Asked by DanaP.
- A:Answer I'd recommend a Audioquest subwoofer cable. This thing has power, so you might get a humm noise if you use a cheap cord. Get a quality cord, even the cheapest Audioquest should work.
