Great Value Fitness Tracker For Kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have put the Vivofit Jr 2 through its paces and it's still performing as if it was new. I especially love the stopwatch feature and the preprogrammed timers and alarms for toothbrushing, getting ready in the morning, etc. We recently took a trip to Florida where my son swam in a saltwater pool everyday for several hours and the Vivofit is still working perfectly (we did remove it from the band and rinse and dry afterwards.) It has consistently tracked his steps and sleep patterns. The only hiccup we've had (and this is since the beginning) is that sometimes it doesn't want to sync right away manually, but it does it automatically throughout the day at random times on its own so it hasn't been a deal breaker. The app and adventure mode is cool too but my son is more interested in his fitness stats.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 9 year old son is very happy with the Garmin Vivo Fit Jr. 2 watch for kids. He is involved multiple sports and always wanted a step counter to keep track of his daily steps. The activity tracker watch provides what he was looking for and the sleep log was a bonus for him. The chore reminder is also a nice feature we use to help remind him of certain chores. The watch has been wore on a daily basis for a month and it appears to take the normal wear and tear expected from a 9 year old boy. We have NOT had any issues with the watch concerning software or rash due to wrist band material. I only wish it had GPS tracking and cycling capabilities. My son highly recommends the watch for kids!

Great for kids, WATERPROOF!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to get this watch for my daughter as it is waterproof and she has gone through a couple regular watches just by washing her hands. She swims with it and washes her hands and the watch keeps on going! The watch has several options and you can set alarms through your smartphone that will alert the child to do something such as brush their teeth, make the bed, clean the room etc. They can then earn points which motivates my daughter to complete her chores. Additionally the step tracker which is pretty basic at least encourages kids to be active and hit higher step counts. Overall really happy with the features and durability.

Good first activity watch for kids
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My kids wanted a fitbit, but they were too large for their wrists and I wasn't sure about the investment. We got this around Christmas and it was worth the risk. This worked well as I could track their chores daily and issue rewards based on that. We bought one for our 7 and 9 y/o and they worked well. Trouble with the battery running down because wasn't close enough to my phone for the entire time of an update. Ordered a new battery. Another new battery for one which just stopped working and was only 5 months old. Still worth it for what it was. I would buy it again if my kids were still this young and wanted to see if they could handle the responsibility of a more expensive watch before a fitbit.

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great starter for kids who want to track activity or for their parents who are trying to help increase activity of their kids. A parental account is required but the advantage is that the kid account links to it so you can see the activity. We use this on our special needs son and being a Star Wars buff it helps that the band is Star Wars. He wasn’t too interested in it at first but turned out it was because he wanted the storm trooper icon on the step counter. Now he checks his steps! My only problem is that I would like a larger display but it may be because I’m older and can’t see as well as I used too!!

Great kids fit tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for my ten year old. She loves it! The app loads to a tablet without issue and there's no need for a phone. It best with the app connected, and it offers great incentives to get moving. My daughter has worn I during field hockey and soccer games without issue.

Cute idea, great motivation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its nice to finally have a kids activity tracker thats not worthless. They can actually check their wristband to see the time, how many steps they have taken, how many 'active minutes' they have and can even track chores and rewards. These are all awesome, however I wish the screen was a little brighter like in the pictures. The coordinating parent app is also nice, a bit basic but nice. Just wish there was a kid app that they could go into to see their progress.

Posted .Hello NCmedic236, We wanted to reach out to let you know that there has been an update to the vivofit jr. app that offers a new mode called Kid Mode. Kid Mode gives kids the ability to check off chores and view their app adventures on their own. The app is now also compatible with many Android and Kindle Fire Tablets. Thanks again for posting a review. -JFH

What a Great Gift for a 6yo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My grandson was very interested in another fitness/activity tracker. However, it seemed a bit out of his age range. So I looked around and found this one. I was a bit hesitant at first because it wasn't exactly what he had on his Christmas list. I took a chance and went for it. He was so thrilled and it was such hit. The best part is he uses it everyday and really works toward the goals. Perfect in every way. I think the only challenge could be the parent getting it dialed in for them. We didn't have that problem. But I could see where it could be an issue for some. I think you'll be surprised at how much motivation it provides for your kid/grandkid to be physically active and even set chore goals. :).

Q: QuestionBetween the Resistance model and the First Order model, besides the band design, what are the differences? In the pictures, the resistance model displays the word "star wars" and the first order model is showing an image of first order...anything else?
Asked by FN2187.
- A:Answer The vivofit jr. 2 offers specific watch face options for each of the available versions. The vivofit jr. 2 offers options to show different images on the watch face of the device, and the available options will depend on the version that is purchased. More watch faces can be unlocked by completing Adventure Trails. The overall features of the different Star Wars versions of the vivofit jr. 2 are the same.

Q: QuestionUnclear about app. Do you have an app on parent phone and kids phone/iPad? Are they in sync? If kid can play game, is it on their phone/ipad or parents phone???
Asked by GIdoc.
- A:Answer I have the app on my phone and my daughter's tablet. It seems to work well, the activity is synchronized through my phone generally (it is able to sync through her tablet if my phone isn't near by when it syncs). But after it updates on my phone it updates on her tablet and she can use her tablet to play the game. I set the tablet to kids mode so she isn't able to complete her chores without my pin on her tablet.
