Great sidekick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best smartwatch out there currently. Pros: Battery lasts for days with normal use (always on disabled though). Samsung Pay is a breeze to setup and use S Health integration is seamless and very functional (prompts you for inactivity etc.) Rotating bezel makes devIce navigating a breeze Widea variety of watch faces for customization Cons Pricey Heart rate monitor will fail to deliver a reading, asking sensor to be cleaned. Not sure if it's my skin tone as it has happened across several devices

This is definitely WORTH IT!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never thought I'll be jumping into the smartwatch wearable as I don't like how they look too techie! This changed my mind. Having a regular watch look with textured finish and water and dust proof make, It made me want to get one. The rotating bezel makes navigating the watch really easy. The selection of the watch faces and ability to make your own levels up the way you can customize your watch. The variety of watch bands that can be used also makes the watch feel unique. With heavy use, I will get about a day and a half use but with light use, it could go for 2-3 days. All notifications on your phone shows up on the phone as well. What separates it from everything is the ability to use samsung pay and earn points as well. This could potentially pay off the watch in the long run! Plus the amazement of cashiers on how you pay using your watch just adds a little wow factor! I'd love to see more apps develop for tizen phones but it doesn't stop me from admiring and using my Gear s3 frontier!

Great smart watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gear S3 is a great smart watch for the first time smart watch crowd as well as a seasoned vet. Good battery life, great features. Pulse rate, stand alone GPS and Samsung Pay, just to name a few. Stylish watch faces built in or you can use watch face apps, I recommend Facer. Easy app navigation with rotating bezel or touchscreen. Sturdy and attractive build.

Fantastic watch overall
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did lots of smart watch research prior to my purchase as this is my first of the sort. I love the fast response, overall good looks, and comfort of the watch. I've found that things I thought would be important to me (gps, large display, navigation capability) are things I rarely use and the reasons I love it are things I never would have dreamt of. The best overall feature is Samsung Pay app. I use my watch to pay everywhere and freak people out. I also downloaded the watch face developer tool and have created dozens of faces that I change on the fly depending on my needs. I am not a fitness nut, so I didn't think I would care about those fratures. Without doing a thing, I found my sleeping patterns were horrible and I have high blood pressure. Overall, I love the watch. Could there be more useful apps, sure. It is not great for social media. It will tell you you have a FB message, but it still makes you go to your phone to read/reply to the message. The phone and speaker are also fantastic (I only have the wifi/BT version as I am never without my phone and didn't want another ATT contract). Battery life is 1 1/2 days with everything on, but charge time is fast. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Does it all
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gear S3 Frontier seems rugged enough for most outdoor activities. Screen is clear and bright, even in direct sunlight. Battery life exceeded 24 hours with frequent use. Full charge took less than 3-hours from 15%. Setup using Samsung Gear app was a snap and sync'd easily with my Galaxy Note 5.. Samsung pay NFC works perfectly. GPS, steps tracking, and heart monitor are spot on. Downside is S-voice, which is clearly inferior to either Siri or Google. Also wished they partnered with My Fitness Pal, but find that using it with Lifesum is just as good (maybe even better). I am very happy with my purchase and glad I waited for the S3 since it is a big improvement over the S2 both in function and style.

Awesome watch with intuitive UI and great design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I often bang my hand against wall or corners. Thanks to the strong build of this watch, it is still holding great. Had less expectations from Tizen OS but its well optimized and performs really well. Only downside is lack of apps but whatever is there is good enough. I don't expect to replace my phone with this watch anyway. Voice assistant sucks. Hope Samsung would improve that with updates. ACTIVITY and Sleep tracking are really good with this watch. Battery lasts about 4 days with nominal use. Overall, really satisfied with the watch.

Nice watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously had a Gear Fit smartwatch but after about 4 years it quit on me. I decided to go with a bigger watch because it is more stylish and has better functionality. So far I like everything about it. It took a little bit to get used to the size but after about a month I forgot what it is like to have a smaller watch. It seems to keep track of my steps and floors fairly accurately and the HR monitor does what it is supposed to. Overall good watch.

The heavyweight longstanding champion
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch might not be as thin as some newer offerings, come to the table with as long of battery life, or have the absolute latest in features. However, it does make up with it by one feature many in the community wish would have been persisted into newer watches: Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST). MST is a technology that allows your watch to magically beam information to conventional card reader magnetic strips. This means that if a shop does not have a NFC/tap to pay terminal (REALLY common in the US still) you can still pay touch-less with your watch. In my opinion this increases usability of the device dramatically, to the point where I still haven't replaced it despite its age. Beyond that, the watch's specifications are what you'd expect out of a flagship from a few years ago. It's got a decent quality screen, an onboard GPS and microphone for navigating or calling someone through the watch (paired with phone). It has a nice feeling metal bezel which has survived and still looks great despite bashing my watch against things pretty often. All-in-all, you may not find the Gear S3 available at retailers in light of newer offerings, but I'd be darned if I didn't still recommend it in the off-chance you do. The 'function' part works hard in your favor to offset the newer 'form' advantages of today's smart watch products.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between a bluetooth and a 4g lte model and how can I tell the difference when I am purchasing this item?
Asked by Help.
- A:Answer The difference between the LTE and Bluetooth (BT) is the labels indicate connection themselves they primary use to receive data. It uses 4g LTE like a traditional smart phone to be able to give you notifications without you needing your phone within BT distance or even being on. This could also allow you to pay with your watch through Samsung Pay without both your wallet or your phone (or whatever reason you might consider yourself in such a situation) if need be. However, to use such; this requires you signing up with a cellular provider of your choice and paying a monthly service for such. The benefit to this is that, like smart phones, you can get your Gear S3 for cheap or even free if you score the right deal with a contract. The 4g LTE version also includes BT, NFC, and WiFi connections and thus you don't lose out on "Features" if you bought the 4g LTE over the non 4g LTE version. So the difference is if you buy the regular Gear S3 (think "Non 4g LTE") you just lose out on having the 4g, but don't have to pay a monthly service. If you sat the two side by side, there is no difference in look or size, just a "Theoretical" weight difference of the amount of weight of a SIM card that would go inside the 4g LTE version. In purchasing one, if go into a Best Buy store, you should NOT be able to buy a 4g LTE without specifically asking for it and usually requires you going to the Cell Phone area. If you go to the Samsung area, you will only find the "non 4g LTE" version

Asked by EVOBunny.
- A:Answer Call bestbuy and they will refund you $50 to your card. I just called them and I got a refund for 50. It is call price match. Whenever you buy a product from bestbuy you have a few weeks to match the price. Good luck

Q: QuestionCan i use the GPS without having it on a phone plan of any sort? Also, if the batter dies will the watch still be able to tell me the time (hope that part made sense).
Asked by Jessicat023.
- A:Answer The GPS radio is built into the watch so it needs no phone or cellular plan to receive the GPS signal. The time is displayed using the digital screen. If the battery dies, the screen gets no power and you will not be able to tell the time.

Q: QuestionCan I get some info on the size, is it really that big? And can I get some answers on what u guys think, if it would be right for a 12 year old
Asked by Singh.
- A:Answer This watch is 46mm. It looks large on a man and giant on most female wrists. For a 12 year old, I would suggest the S2 or S2 Classic.

Q: QuestionWhat is the case and bezel made from?
Asked by Bradford.
- A:Answer The case is metal. The rotating dial appears to be a hard plastic that will scratch very easily, I have mine for 1 month and the finish on bezel is wearing down already! Don't bump it , it will scratch.
